Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Do I Really Need To Have My Home Inspected In Order To Determine The Cost Of Your Service?

With one simple phone call to 1-866-366-8683, our Certified Technicians will "customize" a treatment program specifically for you based on our exclusive “Verbal Inspection Process.”

Our Certified Technician’s will conduct an in depth verbal inspection of your home and property and provide you with a detailed plan and specific treatment program for your particular situation. We’ll also point out areas that may require your attention, and the best part is it takes just 5 minutes from the convenience of your own home.

Do I have to sign a long term contract?

The answer in a nutshell is, No. Unlike other pest control companies that make you sign your life away just to get rid of a few bugs, there are never any long term contracts with ValuePest.com.

All of our guaranteed services are scheduled on a quarterly basis, but you can cancel at any time. Keep us as long as you love us. But, we hope that that will be a long time.

Does your service protect me from every pest?

At ValuePest.com, we believe that a bug is a bug. Why pay more? In 2005, homeowners told us that they wanted full protection with maximum savings. So, we created America’s first All-Inclusive Termite & Pest Control System, The ValuePest System.

If it’s an insect or rodent pest and it crawls it’s covered at no additional charge. It’s that simple.

My home is a concrete slab, does that mean I don’t have a termite problem?

Unfortunately, no! In fact, you may never actually see subterranean termites because they live in the ground. However they can enter homes through cracks and openings as narrow as 1/64th of an inch, about the thickness of a piece of paper.

Termites can also enter through expansion joints in the slab, around plumbing pipes and behind stucco, siding and brick veneer. Once they gain access into the wood inside your home, termites can cause enormous amounts of damage before you ever know they are there. That is due to the fact they eat wood from the inside out making them extremely difficult to detect. The vast majority of their destructive work is invisible.

Which treatment method is the most effective to protect my home from termites?

There are basically three treatment methods used for subterranean termite control: soil treatment, baits and wood treatments. The best treatment for your home will depend on many factors that are unique to your home, your termite problem and your personal preferences.

Soil Treatments: Usually applied directly to the soil in, under and around your home. This treatment sets up a continuously treated area that will control termites once they come in contact with the material.

Bait Systems: Designed to protect homes by eliminating the termite colonies in and around your home. These systems work well, but usually require more time to work versus soil treatments. Termites must find and accept the bait then share it with other members of the colony.

Wood Treatments: A preventative treatment or in conjunction with one of the other methods listed above, the wood itself is treated with an effective product, and termites either avoid the treated wood or feed on it and die.

All three methods are highly effective if applied, installed and serviced correctly. For more information contact a ValuePest.com Certified Technician at 1-866-366-8683.

Why should I hire a professional?

While "Do-it-Yourself" pest control is certainly an option for some homeowners, most people lack the knowledge that professionals have to treat pest problems quickly and effectively.

Our ValuePest SuperTech’s are trained and certified to handle the specific pest issues that you will encounter in and around your home. They are also trained in the safe handling and proper application of materials used to control pests.
